Step 1: Place the different components (saw chain and guide bar) on a clean, flat work surface. You can place some soft material underneath to avoid damaging the machine or the floor.

Step 2: To remove the sprocket cover, open the wing nut and turn it counterclockwise

Step 3: Turn the adjustment wheel on the guide wheel clockwise to the bottom.

Step 4: Always wear gloves when touching the saw chain as the sharp teeth are very dangerous. Begin picking up the chain and guide wheel, then hook the chain from the head of the guide wheel to the guide wheel. Make sure the saw chain runs in the correct direction.

Step 5: Then rotate the saw chain until it is fully embedded in the guide wheel

Step 6: Check again that the saw chain is correctly mounted on the guide wheel and oriented correctly. The cutting head should be pointing towards the top of the guide.

Step 7: Pick up the installed chain and guide wheel, then wrap the saw chain around the sprocket. Slide the guide onto the mounting nut.

Step 8: Replace sprocket cover and insert all lugs into holes.

Step 9: Place the wing nuts until the sprocket cover is close to the engine case. Do not fully tighten the sprocket.

Step 10: Turn the adjusting screw (toward the guide head) and the drive section should be in the guide groove

Step 11: Tighten the butterfly nut. Close the wing nut until it is flat and the locking pin is fully seated on the sprocket cover.

Step 12: Check the machine that the chain catch does not sag in the guide groove.

Step 13: Check that the chain is not too tight. Manually rotate the saw chain in the direction of the drive (release the chain brake first or it will not rotate). Always wear work gloves to avoid injury from sharp chain contact. If the chain does not move, loosen the wing nut and repeat the previous steps.

Step 14: Your chain saw is fully assembled. Now start the chainsaw chain brake again.
